‘Skywalker Saga’ is biggest Lego Star Wars yet
May 13, 2022
The long anticipated Lego Star Wars game, “The Skywalker Saga,” is so entertaining that gamers don’t even have to be Stars Wars fans to enjoy it. It improves on earlier Lego games and offers a wide array of characters and places.
The game is a third-person action-adventure built in a brand new engine, and it was released on April 5 on multiple gaming platforms.
The open world hub of “The Skywalker Saga” is a strength of the game, as players can now choose to start the game from any of the main Skywalker Saga trilogies and complete them in any order. This is a good change from previous Star Wars Lego games in which players had to advance through the story in order.
Each episode has five story missions each for a total of 45 levels. Once players have completed an episode, they can replay the story of said episode in free play.
There is also a free mode option which allows players to explore all of the hubs with any character they like.
The combat in the game has improved as lightsaber fights now involve a variety of combos with light attacks, heavy attacks, and force moves.
Another strength is the size of the game, which has almost 400 playable characters and around 800 characters in all. Characters are grouped as Jedi, Hero, Scavenger, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Villain, Droid and Extra.
“Rogue One” and “The Clone Wars” have characters in DLC packs that allow gamers to play through nine additional worlds excluding “Rogue One,” “The Clone Wars” and “Solo.”
Exploring the galaxy is one dream that Star Wars fans get to experience through this game.
Each episode has its own planets featured in each respective film that can be visited and explored. Most of the planets that players can go to can be recognized by most Star Wars fans
Overall there are 24 planets including Tatooine, Naboo, Hoth, Coruscant and Jakku. Each planet features a unique design and setting, giving players a substantial variety of places to explore.
Some planets contain secrets and areas that can only be accessed by specific characters. If players encounter a puzzle or area that cannot be reached, they can come back with a different character that interacts with the environment or storyline as needed.
Not only are there memorable planets, characters and vehicles, there’re also creatures from the storyline that gamers can ride. These creatures include the kaadu, orray, fathier, bantha and dewback. All of these creatures are able to be mounted so that players can ride on the backs of them.
The game also has different iconic vehicles that players can operate. Some of the vehicles that Star Wars fans would notice are the Death Star, the Millennium Falcon, Tie Fighters, the Razor Crest and many more.
