Ever think you’re seeing double?
Well, famous actor Timothee Chalamet saw much more than double at a look-alike contest held in New York.
This look-alike contest began as a “silly joke” staged by the YouTube star Anthony Po. In the days prior to the contest, posters were put up all around New York promoting it.
Early on in the event, the police ordered that the group leave the area. The organizers of the event were issued a $500 fine for an “unpermitted costume contest.”
The group then moved to a new location. However, with a new location comes new surprises.
Timothee Chalamet, the real one, pleasantly surprised spectators and participants when he made an unexpected appearance at the event.
He took pictures with the look-alikes and fans as the contest continued.
The winner of the contest, Miles Mitchell, received a check for a whopping $50 and a large trophy.
Guy falls through roof
Well, a man in Memphis, Tenn. managed to fall right through a ceiling and straight into custody.
The man, Deario Wilkerson, had a warrant out for his arrest months before this incident. He was tracked to a house in Memphis by authorities investigating his location.
Once Memphis agents arrived at the residence, Wilkerson fell right through the ceiling of the house from the attic he was hiding in.
The authorities were able to take Wilkerson into custody without him, or anyone else, being injured.
Not all monkeys like to just hang around
43 monkeys were loose in Yemassee, South Carolina after they escaped from a research facility.
The primates broke loose after a door at an Alpha Genesis facility was unintentionally not secured, which allowed the monkeys to do what they pleased.
However, according to the CEO of Alpha Genesis, these monkeys stayed close to the facility and were “just being goofy monkeys… playing with each other.”
The company put traps out with bait and used thermal cameras in an attempt to capture the monkeys, but most monkeys were hesitant to go into the traps.
The locals were told to secure their doors and windows to prevent the monkeys from welcoming themselves in.
Most of the monkeys have been recovered, but a handful remain loose.
Instagram stars can vary in many ways
In this case, the Instagram star happened to be a squirrel.
An internet famous squirrel named Peanut was euthanized by New York authorities to test for rabies.
This sparked frustration among fans. Mark Longo, the squirrel’s owner, was especially frustrated. Longo rescued the squirrel seven years before this occurred, and cared for it after the squirrel’s mother died.
Following this nutty situation, Longo has since been raising money to create an animal sanctuary for Peanut.
