Lights under Louisville
Lights under Louisville is a one-of-a-kind light show where people drive through an underground display of over 7 million lights in the Mega Caverns. The lights sync up with a radio station as drivers ride in cars for 1.3 miles at 2 to 4 miles per hour.
Tickets are expensive per car, but it would be worth it to bring friends, split the cost, and make it a worthwhile road trip.

WinterFest at Kings Island
The Winter Fest at Kings Island is a wonderful place for winter. Kings Island has decorations that are absolutely beautiful to look at.
Kings Island is a theme park with roller coasters, arcades, stores and other attractions.
For “Winter Fest,” The fountain ring in the middle of Kings Island turns into a skating rink. Not all the rides at Kings Island are open for “Winter Fest.”

Starting Dec. 13, Winterfest is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily through Dec. 31. It opens an hour earlier on Saturdays, will stay open until midnight on New Year’s Eve

Krohn Conservatory
This is a lovely place to spend an hour or two with wonderful butterfly exhibits and a lot of gorgeous flowers and plants, plus it is a nice change from cold wintery weather to step into a building that feels like spring.
Sometimes, the butterflies even land on the visitors.
Through Jan. 5, Krohn is hosting “Solstice Glow” which features miniature replicas of Cincinnati landmarks as well as holiday displays including model trains.

Snow tubing at Perfect North
Can’t ski or snowboard? There is always snow tubing in the Perfect North.
Perfect North covers 100 acres big with an 800 foot top elevation, making it a big area to have fun with family and friends.
