Lance Melching, Advisor

In 2009, Lance Melching founded The Rebellion newspaper and has been the staff's advisor ever since. When his bosses asked him to start the newspaper, he was grateful for the opportunity because it offered him a chance to act on some of his beliefs.  The Rebellion allowed Melching to provide an authentic outlet for student voices, use the power of journalistic writing to help students grow, and document the happenings of Boone. His favorite part of being on The Rebellion is working with the kids. He feels a deep sense of pride and accomplishment when hard work, collaboration, and new ideas all come together in a new story. Aside from journalism, Melching is also the athletic director and swim coach. He enjoys running, reading, baking bread, music, traveling, Marvel movies, and Cincinnati sports. His favorite movie is "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and his favorite fast food place is Skyline.
