Sonic Temple Music Festival 5/16 – 5/19
If you love rock and alternative music, come to the “Sonic Temple Music Festival” in Columbus, Ohio, and see world famous bands such as Slipknot, Disturbed, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Judas Priest, Pantera, Seether, The Original Misfits, and Falling in Reverse.

Florence Y’alls Baseball SpongeBob Night 5/24
What better way to celebrate the first day of summer than to go to SpongeBob Night at the Florence Y’alls?
With music and promotions for the beloved show, students can live it up like they’re in a pineapple under the sea.
Hawaiian Sno 5/25
Hawaiian Sno is a Main Street snow cone place with a wide variety of flavors and plenty of fun things to try like their sour spray or their custom flavor combos.
Hawaiian Sno opens at 2:00 pm and is currently closed till May 25.
Chrystal Onyx Cave 5/26
Onyx Cave and Rock Shop in Cave City was founded in 1971.
Discovered during the construction of a parking lot, they have since preserved the cave and now they give people tours. At the end, you can purchase a rock or gem.
Prices for the tour for anyone 12 or up is $11, then kids 11-5 get in for $7.50 and anyone younger gets in free.
Zoo Babies at the Cincinnati Zoo 5/31
The Cincinnati Zoo has events going on all throughout the summer, with “Tunes and Blooms” every Thursday in April and May featuring free concerts from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and “Zoo Babies” May 1-31.
Price for admission for ages 13 and up is $27 and ages 2-12 get $21 with parking being $10.

Movies at Kelley’s Bel-Air Drive-in 6/01
Bel-Air Drive-In Theater in Ripley County, Ind. is going to have some new movies available to see this summer such as “The Garfield Movie,” “Inside Out 2,” and “IF.”
Ages 12 and up get in for $10, children ages 5-11 get in for $5, senior citizens get in for $5 and children under the age 4 get in for free.
CincItalia Festival 6/01-6/02
Come to Harvest Home Park in Cincinnati on June 3 and 4 and enjoy authentic Italian food, pastries, folk dancing, cooking lessons, and live music. Tickets are available upon entry.

Build Legos at the Brickery Café 6/12
The Brickery Cafe & Play is the first Lego-themed cafe in the US that sells Legos, letting customers build while they enjoy drinks and snacks.

Red, White, and BOOM at Riverbend 7/04
The Cincinnati Pops will be at the Riverbend Music Center on the Fourth of July to share some patriotic music favorites, completing the night with a fireworks show.
Red Hot Chili Peppers at Riverbend 7/05
If you’re looking for something to do in the beginning of July, and you like rock music, why not see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert?
The band will be in the Riverbend music center on July 5.
Zipline at the Creation Museum 7/06
Go ziplining or run through an obstacle course at the Creation Museum, Open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sitwell’s Coffeehouse Act II Open-mic Night 7/09
Every second, third, and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., Sitwell’s Coffeehouse hosts an open-mic night where anyone can share their artistic gifts by playing an instrument, singing, or sharing poetry.
Come to Sitwell’s and enjoy the bohemian atmosphere, delicious food and coffee, and entertaining live performances.
There are also music venues, unique clothing stores, and a vintage style theater all within a walkable distance.
Putt-putt at the Putt-putt Fun Center 7/11
The Putt-Putt Fun Center for minigolf in Erlanger has prices ranging from $6.50 to $34 depending on how many games guests want to play and how many people they bring.
Hours change depending on days of the week, but they usually open at 3:30 p.m. and at least close at 11:00 p.m.
FrankfortCon— pop culture event 7/13
Saturday July 13, Frankfort’s comic con takes place at the Capital Plaza hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Comic con has free parking and an admission fee of $20 for anyone over the age of 11.
Butterflies in Space at Krohn Conservatory 7/14
If you want to see some nature but don’t want to be outside, try the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati.
It has many activities, including the butterfly show, and different green houses and gardens.
From May 11 to Aug. 18, there is a show called “Butterflies in Space.”: It focuses on the journey of butterflies that went to space in 2009.
Treat yourself at Golden Gelato in Covington 7/18
What better way is there to cool down on a hot summer day than gelato?
Golden Gelato in Covington is a great place for a sweet treat in summer.
They provide many flavors that change every day and offer vegan options and their shop on 130 West Pike Street.

If you are looking for something to do during the summer, you could consider going to a local fair.
There are many different options on fairs. There are crafts fairs, music fairs, and the fairs where there are games and rides.
Whatever fair you like the best, it is still a fun place to go.
Burlington Antique Show at the Fairgrounds 7/21
If you have any free time on Sunday, consider going to the antique show.
The show is at the Burlington fairgrounds and is every third Sunday of every month from 7 a.m.– to 3 p.m. It only costs $5 a person.
Cincinnati Music Festival at Paycor Stadium 7/26
Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati is hosting a concert on July 26 at 7:30 p.m. and includes Hip-Hop artists such as Maxwell, NE-YO, Fantasia, and October London.
Tickets are available online with prices ranging from $65- $75.
Go to the Glier’s Goettafest 7/25-7/28
If you are free at the end of July, why not enjoy some goetta at the Glier’s Goettafest in Newport?
There will be live music, games and of course goetta. Admission is free, but the goetta is not.
Kayak and Canoe on the Little Miami River 7/27
If you want a nature filled summer why not canoe or kayak the Little Miami River?

Escape the Sherlock’s NEW Escape rooms 8/01
Sherlock’s Escape Room on Connector Drive has some new rooms including “Bank Heist” and “Wizard’s Curse.”
Rooms have different difficulty ratings and a 60-minute time limit. The cost $31.99 per player.
Art on Vine—Art Show 8/03

Water Lantern Festival at Eden Park 8/10
In a beautiful scene, you can participate in customizing your own water lantern and seeing the others float around you.
In an event that isn’t seen everyday, students who want a good date or a different way to hang out with friends should join the festivities on Aug. 10 at Eden Park.
Sleep under the Perseids 8/11-8/13
No matter if you are awed by astronomy or just like star gazing from time to time, the Perseids meteor shower will create quite the natural light show that one shouldn’t miss through Aug. 11-13.
Green Day at Great American Ballpark 8/22
Although September will not have ended, fans of Green Day should wake up and head to Great American Ballpark for a concert also featuring The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas.
